Mimi says the effective oils are made from the marijuana plant, not hemp. Why are you rating only hemp oils? Are hemp oils the only oils that do not have any THC? The other question that arises is the difference between ml and mg in measuring the strength of these oils. They are quoted as ml, but there is the question of the “density” limit of 95mg? Very confusing.
It sounds like the title of a children’s book, but like so much else that you learned in kindergarten, it’s true. Everyone’s body is different – but everyone’s endocannabinoid system is really unique. For reasons we don’t fully understand, receptors in the endocannabinoid system don’t respond predictably to cannabinoids from person to person. This lack of a predictable response makes standard dosing tricky.

The CBD utilized in our tinctures is extracted from industrial hemp cultivated in the United States. To further ensure quality and purity, our industrial hemp goes through a supercritical CO2 extraction process to obtain the best possible CBD solution. This solution is then formulated by our board-certified pharmacists into finished products and sent out for third-party testing. Our CBD oil is made with high-quality CBD extracted from organic hemp that is abundant in naturally produced terpenes, oils, vitamins, omega fatty acids, and other components.
And now, onto the thorny issue of legality. The simple answer to the question is yes – if it is extracted from hemp. The 2014 Farm Bill established guidelines for growing hemp in the U.S. legally. This so-called  “industrial hemp” refers to both hemp and hemp products which come from cannabis plants with less than 0.3 percent THC and are grown by a state-licensed farmer.

There’s also been a lot of talk lately about “microdosing” CBD. This refers to an incremental process of finding your minimum effective dose. You can do this with any concentration of CBD oil, but lower concentrations will take longer. In a 2017 article in Rolling Stone, Dr. Dustan Sulak outlines his protocol for microdosing. You can begin this process by asking yourself three questions:
As with supplements, the FDA does not review CBD products before they hit the shelves. At this time, CBD oil quality is not regulated in most states. Only states that have legalized marijuana for adult use have regulated laboratory testing for CBD sold in dispensaries. Currently, these states are Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California, Maine, Massachusetts, and Nevada, as well as Washington D.C.
I have idiopathic peripheral neuropathy ... the only thing they found that would work is lyrica. I picked up some CBD oil yesterday morning. I am prescribed to take 75 mg of lyrica 3x per day. I took one yesterday morning and have only used the CBD oil since. I bought the Koi brand, flavored, 250 MG. I used a full dropper yesterday late morning and a full dropper yesterday late afternoon. I used it once today (one full dropper) and I am amazingly pain free.

No, you *are no expert*–so you have no business making a diagnosis sight unseen. “Leaky gut” and “gluten sensitivity” (as opposed to celiac disease, which is legit) are among the trendy diagnoses du jour. You don’t know these folks’ diets, specific symptoms or official diagnoses. Don’t give me any blather about “Big Pharma,” “suppressing natural cures, “or the “medical industry conspiracy,” either. (“Suppression?” I get my CBD oil from an actual MD, with the approval of my oncologist).

Even if a topical contains active THC, it still won’t induce that intense “high” you’d get from smoking or ingesting cannabis. With most topicals, cannabinoids can’t breach the bloodstream; they only penetrate to the system of CB2 receptors. Transdermal patches, however, do deliver cannabinoids to the bloodstream and could have psychoactive effects with a high enough THC content.
Thanks for your interest in our products. Unfortunately due to strict FDA regulations I am unable to make claims on our products based on your specific needs, I can though share our top selling products in each category. There is a lot of confusion out there. Both industrial hemp & marijuana are separate strains of the cannabis plant (hemp is c. sativa and marijuana can be either other strains of c. sativa or c. indica–marijuana has much, much more THC than hemp, which has little-to-none). The site is reviewing only CBD oils made from industrial hemp (more expensive from flower, cheaper & weaker from seeds & stalks) because those are the only kinds of CBD oil one can buy in all 50 states anywhere (not just licensed dispensaries), whether the state allows recreational weed, medical marijuana with an official cannabis ID card, or no marijuana whatsoever for any purpose.

This all serves to underline the importance of testing CBD extract for the various levels of active ingredients. If your homemade CBD extract contains a high amount of THC it could be illegal in your country and require you use either a different method of extraction, or more likely, the need to find a source of hemp that has lower THC. As more scientific literature emerges supporting the entourage effect, and increased benefits of full-spectrum CBD compared to CBD isolate, we can expect the manufacture and sale of CBD goods based around isolate to greatly reduce in the coming years.

But there’s a big difference between the two. Hemp seed oil has been pressed from hemp seed, and it’s great for a lot of things – it’s good for you, tastes great, and can be used in soap, paint – even as biodiesel fuel. However, hemp seed oil does not contain any concentration of cannabinoids at all, including CBD. So by all means, stock up at your local natural food store. Just don’t expect to reap the benefits of a true CBD oil when you cook with hemp seed oil.

So a full spectrum decarb got higher points than isolate (“decarb” just refers to the process of decarboxylation which turns raw CBD into activated CBD). We also gave more points to companies with a “broad spectrum” tincture. Broad spectrum CBD oil includes a range of other cannabinoids, but minus the THC – which is generally what people using isolates are trying to avoid.

The second method of pain relief centers around the damage you do when you work out. When you strength train, you create micro-tears in your muscles, which is why you feel sore as you heal. Once your immune cells detect damage, they release inflammatory mediators in order to repair the tissue. CBD, though has the ability to limit the release of some proinflammatory signals, thereby helping with pain without thwarting the healing entirely, Gerdeman explains.

Yes, CBD oils made from marijuana (sativa or indica) can have higher concentrations of both CBD–as well as CBN and THC (the latter is the “main attraction” because it’s psychoactive). But because not everyone can lawfully buy them (and those who can must purchase in person from a state-licensed dispensary) and they’re not available online except to customers living in certain recreational-weed-legal states, they aren’t being reviewed here. Also, MJ-derived CBD oils are not as widely produced and sold.
This takes us to the next problem: There is no regulation around how much active CBD or THC is in each cream or how much of the compound is needed to see relief. Read: "If you have three products that say 1 percent CBD infused in coconut oil, one could be great and the other two could be crap—that's the reality of cannabis medicine right now," Gerdeman says.
You then take your first drop of CBD oil, wait 45 minutes, then ask the questions again. If you feel no different and there’s no change in the way you answer those questions, you increase the dose by small increments until you do notice a difference. You can continue this process over several days – and at some point, you’ll find that taking more doesn’t change your scores. That is your minimum effective dose.
Two dermatologists I consulted with, New York-based Whitney Bowe, MD and New Jersey-based Jeanette Jacknin, MD, both agreed that CBD’s anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits are clinically proven. “Studies have shown that the cannabinoids like CBD in marijuana are anti-inflammatory and anti-aging and topical CBD has proven helpful for acne, eczema, and psoriasis,” Jacknin told me. “Hemp seed oil is reputed to be the most unsaturated oil derived from the plant kingdom, so it is less pore clogging but a great moisturizer for dry, cracked skin.”
...with due respect, your experience Locsta is almost precisely what happened with my....chihuahua. Degenerative disc disease, excruciating pain, prednisone worked, but couldn't keep her on it..pain killers and muscle relaxants didn't help, really thought I would have to put her down. Chi bloggers suggested CBD; gave PetReleaf a shot--like you, literally within minutes I could see the difference, in days she was pain free and now is back in charge of our world. The real key here is that with my dog, there is zero, nada, chance that there was any placebo effect...

After a couple uses you can feel relaxation. And this is the lower level of product. I can only praise the Stanley brothers for their amazing work. Would Love to work with them and for them someday making a true difference in our world. This product truly has brought me Peace of mind and relaxation. God bless Charlottes Web. Thank you guys so much.
Having a precise scale at home can help with accurate measurements as well. Kitchen scales are often not accurate enough to measure down to the milligram. However, there are many options online, often sold as jewelers’ scales, which will have up to four-decimal precision. Measuring out the perfect serving helps ensure you aren’t wasting any valuable product.
Whole plant hemp extract keeps the full properties of the hemp plant intact. In addition to CBD, this extract includes terpenes, cannabinoids, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, phytonutrients and any other materials that are extracted from the hemp plant. The hemp plant naturally contains over 100 cannabinoids that, similar to CBD, provide their own unique benefit.
CBD Isolate offers a near endless amount uses and applications in its pure, unmodified form. The pure format also helps for precise control over amount of Cannabidiol in each dosage or serving. Pure CBD isolate is a white crystal that generally comes in either slab or powder format. The cannabinoid is extracted from CBD Oil using supercritical CO2 extraction.

As a representative with 2 companies that have CBD on the market and as a person with intractable pain and multple painful problems wirth my spine I can say that cbd does not work for everyone. It does nothing for me or for my mil who has a cancer like growth impeding her ability to swallow and has undergone radiation to shrink it. Everyone has a chemistry that’s personal to them for some it helps but for many it does not. With that in mind it’s a 50/50 chance of it helping and until you come out your pocket you’ll never know. Buyer beware.
I LOVE my CBD pain cream. It is called “CAD” (short for Carter’s Aromatherapy Designs) cream. The downside is that it’s uber expensive ($45 to $140, for a 2 ounce jar, depending on the strength), but the little jar does seem to stretch quite a way. It smells of peppermint, not skunk. I’m currently experimenting with making my own from home-grown AC/DC. So far, I like the CAD better.

Because it does not produce psychoactive effects and hemp is not a controlled substance, hemp-based products are legal to sell, buy, and possess in all 50 states. However, the law is a bit more complex when discussing CBD oils and other hemp byproducts. According to the 2014 Farm Bill, hemp should only be grown and cultivated for academic research purposes. This means that, technically, any hemp-derived oil that is not grown for these purposes would be illegal — though this law is rarely enforced. To make matters more complex, the laws are somewhat unclear in certain states. Sen. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky recently introduced legislation that would legalize all hemp products at the federal level, but this decision is still pending.
You can also use this CBD-infused oil to cook or bake with, but keep in mind that CBD will lose its potency at higher temperatures. If you do want to cook with the CBD isolate oil you created, make sure you’re doing so at less than 350 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring you never go above 400 degrees. CBD isolate heated any higher will lose most of its benefits.

I have also called a couple places to get some input about what we may need, but they all said they cannot give advice. Then HOW do we know what to get. As for MOST of us, we are by no means well off. Quite the opposite, in fact. So to keep “trying” a bunch of different ones is not an option. Blue Bird in CO give discounts to low income, so would like to use their products if possible.

I suffer fr migraines. Currently having Botox injections every three months for the last three years. This has helped went fr 24 to 30 migraines a month to 6 to 8 , now I'm back up to 14 to 20 a month. My doctor thought CBD oil might help. I have also started having anxiety attacks for a year now. I'm really confused with the dosages. Any thoughts would b helpful

However, this could change very soon. Not only did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell recently tell hemp advocates in his home state of Kentucky that he would be introducing legislation to legalize industrial hemp as an agricultural commodity, but Epidiolex, a CBD-based drug intended for sufferers of LGS or Dravet syndrome – two epileptic conditions – was recently approved by the FDA.
The public profile of CBD has soared in recent years, with users using it to treat all manner of ailments and conditions. It can be consumed in a variety of ways, ranging from simple oral consumption to topical use and even vaping. There are two main forms of CBD on the market. These are 'full spectrum' CBD and CBD isolate. There are a number of key differences between the two, which we will look at in this article. We will also look at methods of consumption, as this can have dramatic impact on the efficacy of CBD. As we will see, full-spectrum CBD is more popular, and for good reason, but isolate has certain benefits that might appeal to different CBD users.
